Larry,
I know several of us on our team have been reading your blog and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I check every day to see if some new topic has been posted.
Who says you need to remain neutral? I still feel like a novice at this sport even after racing for a few years now. I enjoy hearing different sides of various issues, as it gives me a different perspective and sometimes a better understanding of why there are controversies over different issues.
For instance, I've been particularly curious over the measuring hoopla. I've competed for 10 years in agility and before that in obedience and I've never seen such discussion or fuss over measuring in either of those activities - you do it and it's taken for granted. I don't think (at least in my area of competition) that I've ever heard any complaint or discussion about how measuring is stressful, etc., so this is rather curious to me. I'd like to see a civilized discussion on that topic, but I'm not sure it would turn out that way from what I'm reading in various other discussions.
Anyway, I hope you keep up the blog. We've found many topics that have been very timely regarding what we've been experiencing in our club and we've really enjoyed the discussons on current events in the flyball world. We are rather isolated in our region, so we don't hear a lot of discussion on different topics from other teams unless we pick things up at a tournament, so this has been educational and enlightening.
Thanks again, Larry.
